Looking back over the past 12 months, we can confidently say that 2022 was a successful year for Yeda. In the course of the past year, we have completed a series of important licensing deals for technologies that have emerged from all campus faculties, many of which have led to the formation of new entities.

Something exciting is happening in the world of Quantum Computing!

Last week, the Israel Innovation Authority announced the formation of the largest consortium in its history, with a three-year budget of NIS 115 million. Weizmann Institute of Science, professor Roee Ozeri is amongst the leading academic entities supporting the development.

AstraZeneca, Accenture, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Clalit Health Services - the largest healthcare organization in Israel - have selected six startups to participate in BeyondBio SCALE. Among them is Yeda spinoff company, “Curesponse” - a unique, innovative and focused test combining tissue reactions to various drugs with rapid genomic sequencing for optimal cancer treatment adjustment.

Fortunately, Prof. Michal Irani and her research team have developed an innovative Zero-shot Super-resolution (ZSSR) approach to help enhance camera zoom technology and achieve “crystal clarity” - without prior data training!

Good news for cardiac sonographers who are reliant on highly accurate, non-invasive cardiac imaging and transthoracic echocardiography solutions, thanks to a breakthrough in AI! Yeda’s spinoff company, UltraSight, was developed based on patented research conducted at the Weizmann Institute of Science in order to help streamline and optimize internal team processes as demonstrated in a recent landmark study.
