A cell line originated from a patient diagnosed with high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC). The cell line was derived from a primary adnexal tumor originating in a chemonaive 74-year-old caucasian female diagnosed with stage IIIc high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC). At the time of acquisition, the tumor was known to secrete mucin-16 (CA125). Smoking and alcohol consumption - unknown.
